Our visitor centre provides public access to the home of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF). We provide this experience in partnership with the Royal Air Force.
The BBMF Visitor Centre is located within the boundary of RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

The BBMF Visitor Centre is open between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, not including Bank Holidays. We recommend that you book a tour as spaces are limited. Booking a visit will allow you access to the Visitor Centre and includes a Hangar Tour.
The BBMF Visitor Centre is open to visitors Monday – Friday 10am to 5pm, not including Bank Holidays.
The shop closes at 4.30pm.
Bookings can be made online via our ticketing website or in person at the Visitor Centre.
Online bookings close 24 hours prior to the tour start time. Any spaces which are still available can be purchased on arrival at the Visitor Centre.
You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode that also contains this number. Present this ticket on arrival, or if you don’t have a printer, simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and bring this with you.
Tours are available throughout the day, and the available times are advertised via the booking system.
Tours will last a maximum of one and a half hours.
Our admission charges are:
Adult - £9.50
Concession (over 60s) - £8.00
Children 5-16 years - £5.50
Full time students (proof required) - £8.00
Children (under 5) - Free
BBMF Club members: free
Please note that admission charges increase from 1 April 2022.

Family ticket: £26.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children)
We offer a 10% discount for serving military personnel (on production of valid military ID) or veterans on production of a veteran badge. Please contact the Visitor Centre to receive a discount code to use when making a booking.
Please make the staff aware of your booking on arrival.
The wearing of face coverings are not compulsory within the visitor centre or on a hangar tour
Yes, you are most welcome to visit the exhibition and shop without undertaking a hangar tour. There is no charge for this.
Yes, you will need to provide an email address and telephone number when booking. This will enable us to advise you of any short notice changes.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate group visits or coach parties at this time.
No, it is not be possible to open the Tea bar at this time. There are shops and cafes available within Coningsby for refreshments.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff is always our top priority and we are fully compliant with the PHE guidelines to protect everyone who visits.
- Hand hygiene facilities are available at the entrance to the Visitor Centre and the entrance to the hangar tour.
- Toilets are available and cleaned regularly
- All hard surfaces in the Visitor Centre are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
Yes, although we would ask that you park within the spaces leaving sufficient room for other people to exit their vehicles easily.
As you will be entering a military environment you are not permitted to take any bags into the hangar. This includes camera bags and handbags. These must be returned to your vehicle. If you wish to keep any valuables with you, a clear plastic bag can be obtained from staff to keep items in. Cameras are permitted, but for still photographs only, not video. Mobile phones must be switched to airplane/flight mode if you wish to use them as a camera or must be turned off.
Only manual wheelchairs are permitted (no battery powered wheelchairs or mobility scooters unless they can be operated with the battery disconnected). Oxygen tanks are not permitted.
We do not have any storage facilities on site. Any belongings that you are unable to take on a tour must be returned to your vehicle.

Only registered Assistance Dogs are allowed in the Visitor Centre and on Guided Tours.
Regrettably, only non powered wheelchairs are permitted in the hangar. If the mobility scooter can be operated with the battery disconnected then this is permitted.
